Mount Claremont Primary School has the services of a school chaplain. This service is funded through the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP).
The role of the chaplain at MCPS is aimed at providing a pastoral care service through:
- Building relationships with students, families and staff;
- Offering pastoral care;
- Being a mentor;
- Providing additional practical help for teaching and administrative staff;
- Being a positive role model; and
- Providing a link between schools and local communities.
Involvement with the school chaplain is entirely voluntary.
