School Chaplain

Mount Claremont Primary School has the services of a school chaplain. This service is funded through the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program (NSCSWP).

The role of the chaplain at MCPS is aimed at providing a pastoral care service through:

  • Building relationships with students, families and staff;
  • Offering pastoral care;
  • Being a mentor;
  • Providing additional practical help for teaching and administrative staff;
  • Being a positive role model; and
  • Providing a link between schools and local communities.

Involvement with the school chaplain is entirely voluntary.
Further information on this service is available from the school.
